Youth Justice
The key focus of the program is to reduce the number of Indigenous people who reside in the Wodonga/Wangaratta region who come into contact with and/or are at risk of coming into contact with Youth Justice System, the Aboriginal Youth Justice worker can provide the necessary support to ensure an equitable outcome.
The Aboriginal Youth Justice Worker attends regular meetings as well as establishing positive partnerships with stake holders such as the Department of Human Services - Youth Justice program, Victorian Police, Court House representatives and other Justice agencies, to share knowledge, promote the program and build capacity to improve justice outcomes for young Indigenous people.
